Healing the Children's Mission:

"Heal the Children, One Child at a time!"

Every year, the Greater Philadelphia Chapter of Healing the Children organizes  teams of medical professionals, that volunteer their time,  to save the lives of children all over the world.    These children are often in third world countries who either can not afford the treatment, or the treatment does not exist in their own countries.

Our team of professionals treat patients, and often use these trips as an opportunity to teach the doctors from the host countries on procedures that are more advanced than they are used to performing.

Most Trips usually last from 8-10 days.  We work very closely with the local officials and organizations, such as Rotary International, so that we gain the support of the local people.  Without their support our trips would not be a success.    The teams often screen over 100 Children for possible treatment during their stay.

The work is hard, but the rewards are great.  Many Doctors come back from our trip with a renewed sense of commitment to their profession.
